Mia

Our family had been contemplating another dog for about two years and could not believe the luck we had with Sweet Paws Rescue!  Naturally, we had heard about the rescue of the 28 Goldens and knew that our new fur-baby was amongst the group!  My childhood friend and SPR foster/adoptive mom Carol put me in touch with Noel, the amazing adoption coordinator, and the rest was history!  We knew we wanted an older dog, 6-8 years old, but when Noel told us that she thought Mia, who was 11 or 12, was the right fit for us I knew it was meant to be.  We picked up Mia from her foster and was immediately in love.  She was the sweetest, gentlest old soul and I couldn't wait to get her home.  Despite my husband's rule of "no dogs on the couch", Mia walked into our home and without any hesitation, immediately jumped up on the couch.  She has officially laid claim to the spot on the couch and in our hearts.  Though she loves our entire family, she has a very special bond with me and will follow me all around the house, looking for the snuggles and pats that I am only too happy to provide.
